LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, is expected to discuss gun violence and community safety during her visit to Las Vegas.
It’s her fourth visit to the state this year, the White House says. She is expected to participate in a conversation about the impact of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
Officials say she will be joined by students, educators, parents and gun safety advocates. Department of Health and Human Services Deputy Assistant Secretary Sonia Chessen, U.S. Representative Dina Titus, Moms Demand Action Executive Director Angela Ferrell-Zabala, and actress and advocate Xochitl Gomez will also participate.
The discussion is expected to start around 12:30 p.m. PT. FOX5 plans to stream the event that could be viewed through the video player toward the top of this page.
In 2022, President Joe Biden and Harris passed the act.
