LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Waymo has officially expanded its autonomous ride-hailing service to Harry Reid International Airport, the company and airport officials announced Wednesday.
Waymo expanded its fully autonomous service on Wednesday, Oct. 21, offering driverless trips to and from dedicated terminal zones for current local riders.
The airport expansion builds on Waymo’s commercial rollout in Las Vegas, which launched in early July. Service is initially available to current Waymo riders, with access set to expand gradually before opening to the general public.
Passenger pickups and drop-offs will operate from designated autonomous vehicle zones on the Ground Zero Level at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Riders can travel between the airport and destinations across Waymo’s current 24-square-mile Las Vegas operating territory, which company officials plan to expand over time.

“We’re excited to welcome Waymo’s autonomous fleet to our airport,” said James C. Chrisley, Clark County director of aviation. “We serve millions of passengers every year, and as new technologies continue to evolve, we’re always looking for ways to bring new options and added convenience to our travelers. Welcoming Waymo is another step toward giving our passengers more choices in how they get to and from the airport.”
The airport launch follows Waymo’s recently announced deals as the official ride-hailing partner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Allegiant Stadium, and The Venetian Resort.
“Fully autonomous Waymo rides at Harry Reid International Airport offer a seamless, stress-free way for travelers to catch a flight or hit the town,” said Arica Gately, Waymo head of airport business development and partnerships.
