WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A child who had been listed as missing from Las Vegas, Nevada, has been located in Augusta, Kan.

The U.S. Marshals said an arrest warrant was listed for the child’s mother, Natalie Black, on May 26, 2021. Black was wanted by the Nevada Attorney General’s Office for felony parental kidnapping of a minor.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force learned that Black was likely hiding out in Augusta and “a collateral lead request” was sent to the Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (KFATF) in Wichita to find Black and the missing child.

The authorities found Black on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the 100 block of E 7th Street in Augusta. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol Air Unit assisted in taking her into custody. The 6-year-old was also taken into custody safely.

Black was taken to the Butler County Jail.
