LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A North Las Vegas neighborhood with a sinking foundation was allocated $37 million to rebuild their damaged homes.
However, now Governor Joe Lombardo wants to move some of that funding around, reallocating $25 million because of a deadline issue, although his office says there will still be enough to pay for the project.

On Saturday, an emergency meeting was held for residents in Windsor Park to learn more about the proposal.
“The $25 million is there,” said a spokesperson with the governor’s office at the meeting. “We’re just asking that the federal funding – so that there’s no timeline obligation on that – we re-obligate those funds and instead use general funds to pay for this project.”
Windsor Park residents and Sen. Dina Neal voiced their concerns about this proposal at Saturday’s meeting.
“The money’s been allocated, set aside. Now, all of a sudden, it’s moving too slowly, I need to get this. Well, that’s not helping us and it’s not convincing us,” said one longtime Windsor Park resident.
“Even the 37 million, we were like Lord, I didn’t think we would get that. So, of course, we feel some kind of way when you decide well, I would like to take what was hard fought for, what was prayed over for months, years!” said State Senator Dina Neal.
