LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – It’s been seven years since the 1 October shooting in Las Vegas.

60 people died and over 500 were injured at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

FOX5 gathered events happening Tuesday meant to remember and honor those lost that night.

Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony

A 1 October Sunrise Remembrance ceremony at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater in downtown Las Vegas will start around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The public is invited to the event. Officials say the ceremony will feature live music, the Southern Nevada Multiagency Honor Guard, remarks from Governor Joe Lombardo and Metro’s sheriff.

There will be a minute of silence for those lost at the shooting.

Clark County and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are co-hosting the event with the Clark County Fire Department and Resiliency & Justice Center.

Blood Drive

Vitalant and the Vegas Golden Knights are partnering again for the annual 1 October Memorial Blood Drive.

At City National Arena from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., those interested could donate blood. The drive aims to honor and remember the victims of the 1 October shooting in 2017.

“In addition to the shooting victims, this annual blood drive also honors our Las Vegas community members who stepped up to donate blood back on 1 October 2017. The blood they gave replaced what was used to treat victims. Only through our wonderful community can we maintain a stable blood supply,” said Erik Hill, regional director at Vitalant.

Donors could schedule appointments here.

Toll of the bells

Starting at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday, Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman and city of Las Vegas Communications Director David Riggleman will read the names lost on the night of the shooting.

The City of Las Vegas says the remembrance ceremony will be held at the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden.

The event will start around 10:05 p.m. Goodman and Riggleman will read the 58 victims who were lost the night of the shooting.

A bell will toll and a candle will be lit in remembrance for each person lost.

FOX5 plans to attend these events and provide a livestream. Revisit this story for updates.
