LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—Nevada State Police have identified the victim and suspect in a wrong-way crash near Boulder Highway.

NSP responded to the incident on Oct. 25 just before 3 a.m., where two vehicles struck each other head-on.

According to police, a black 2023 Toyota Corolla was traveling south in a northbound lane.

The driver of the Toyota has been identified as 22-year-old Alyssa Scott.

Officials reported that a silver 2012 Cadillac CTS was traveling northbound in the left lane when they saw the Toyota coming in their direction. They attempted to get out of the way but ultimately struck one another.

18-year-old Marilyn Amilia Rodriguez was the passenger of the Toyota who later died in the hospital due to her injuries, according to State Police.

Scott was booked into Clark County Detention Center but currently receives care at an area hospital.

NSP reports Scott faces multiple charges, including felony DUI, reckless driving, having an open alcohol container inside a car, and failure to drive properly on a divided highway.

Scott is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5.

Highway patrol officers have investigated 61 fatal crashes in 2024 so far.
