LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested the suspect accused of running a red light and killing two kids.

LVMPD said Nikki Serrat, 32, was identified as the driver of a Lexus in a crash at Flamingo and Pecos on Nov. 8. Serrat was booked on hit-and-run and reckless driving charges, according to police.

Serrat is accused of driving her Lexus through the red light at the intersection and slamming into a car carrying a mother and four children. Two of the kids, identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as 6-year-old Taliyah Lewis and 11-year-old Dante Lewis, died in the crash.

The family has created a GoFundMe to cover the funeral expenses for the children.

Additional details of what led to the arrest of Serrat weren’t immediately available.
