NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The North Las Vegas Fire Department said three people are being treated for burn injuries and smoke inhalation after a house fire.
Crews responded to a fire at the 2100 block of Travis Street Tuesday morning near West Lake Mead Boulevard and Losee Road.
Crews were able to isolate and extinguish the fire before it could extend to neighboring homes.
Officials say two adults are suffering from burn injuries. They both were transported to University Medical Center. One is in critical condition.
Crews said a third adult was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Several dogs were also rescued.
“NLVFD advises residents to have a home fire escape plan to safely and quickly evacuate during a structure fire,” officials say.
The National Fire Protection Association has these recommendations for safely evacuating a house fire.
