LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The more than 20 firearms found inside a stolen car at the center of a terroristic threats case last week belonged to the suspect’s spouse — who also made the 911 call that led to the arrest, the spouse told FOX5 in an exclusive interview.
Allison Howlett was arrested on June 27, 2026, at the parking garage of Sunset Station casino after Henderson police tracked a stolen vehicle there following a 911 call from her spouse, Julie Howlett.
‘All of them’: Spouse says guns were hers
Julie Howlett told FOX5 exclusively that every firearm recovered from the vehicle belonged to her.
“They were my guns — all of them,” Julie said.
Julie said she is a gun dealer and was in the process of transporting the firearms out of state, which is why her car was packed. According to the arrest report, Julie had previously transferred several hundred firearms to a dealer in Alabama.
Police recovered 22 firearms, including rifles, pistols, and weapons equipped with suppressors, along with hundreds of rounds of ammunition and multiple high-capacity magazines. Several of the firearms are federally regulated items under the National Firearms Act.

What the 911 caller said
Julie told Henderson police that morning that Allison had made statements about “suicide by cop” and threatened to shoot up the Las Vegas Strip, according to the arrest report. Julie told police the incident began with an argument over Allison using Julie’s credit card without her permission.
“That morning, I woke up to Allison spending money on my credit card,” Julie said. “She came in with a gun.”
Julie said she struggled to get the gun out of Allison’s hand. “She had pulled the trigger — she was going to kill me,” Julie said. “She took off. I ran outside. I had the gun still in my hand. I unloaded it.”
Julie told police that Allison then took her car — which was loaded with firearms and drove off.
Standoff at Sunset Station
Henderson Police Department officers located the vehicle at Sunset Station and made contact at approximately 11:18 a.m. According to the arrest report, Allison refused commands to exit the vehicle, blasted loud music, and repeatedly made an obscene gesture at officers. Officers observed her reaching around inside the car while disobeying commands.
Officers eventually pulled her out through the driver’s side window and deployed a Taser, which was effective in taking her into custody.
A handgun was found in the driver’s seat, under or beside Allison when she was removed from the vehicle. A B&T TP9 with a suppressor was found in the back passenger seat, according to the report.
History of threats dating to 2024
Julie told FOX5 that the June 27 incident was not the first time Allison had made threats.
“It’s been going on for a very long time,” Julie said. “I have been calling and calling and reporting and reporting and nothing was getting done.”
Henderson Police Department told FOX5 it had responded to the couple’s residence four times.
Julie said that days before the June 27 arrest, officers placed Allison on a Legal 2000 hold for a mental health evaluation after she pointed a firearm at her own head and then at Julie on June 21, 2026.
The arrest report states that Allison first made a mass shooting threat on January 26, 2024, telling Julie on video: “If the FBI doesn’t come arrest me, there is going to be a mass shooting one day… you’re going to be the reason hundreds of people lose their lives.” The report states she continued making similar threats throughout 2024 and into early 2025, and that the behavior resumed in the weeks before her arrest.
Due to the threat of a mass casualty event, LVMPD Counter Terrorism detectives were notified and responded to the scene, according to the arrest report.
Charges
Howlett faces 35 counts in a criminal complaint filed by the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, including:
- Assault with a deadly weapon constituting domestic violence (Category B felony)
- 22 counts of grand larceny of a firearm (Category B felony)
- Grand larceny auto (Category C felony)
- 4 counts of possession of a machine gun or silencer (Category C felony)
- 4 counts of possession of a short-barreled rifle or shotgun (Category D felony)
The complaint also references a terrorism threat charge in the arrest report under NRS 202.448.
A search warrant was also executed at the couple’s Henderson residence, where detectives recovered more than two dozen additional firearms — including an M2 .50 caliber machine gun, an M5 rocket launcher, and multiple rifles with grenade launchers — along with computers, a cellphone, and a USB drive.
Allison is being held on $500,000 bail and is due back in court later this month.
