LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – CCSD is set to discuss appointing someone on the board to manage a debt commission amid the district’s budget concerns.

A week after Governor Joe Lombardo demanded action from CCSD after appointing an investigation into the districts budget concerns.

Governor Lombardo ordered a compliance monitor to adhere with state law.

According to the agenda, CCSD will look to appoint a rep to the Debt Management Commission and the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition Act.

FOX5 reported on Nov. 25, After years of failing to follow state law and a multi-million-dollar budget blunder discovered this September, the state will be stepping in to oversee the Clark County School District.
Governor Joe Lombardo has requested CCSD to develop a corrective action plan to be implemented by Jan. 9, 2025.

The board will meet on Dec. 4 to discuss this agenda item.
