LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV men’s and women’s diving teams will return to action this weekend when they compete at the Riverside Diving Invitational Friday-Saturday, Dec. 6-7, at the Riverside Aquatics Complex.
The competition begins on Friday at 9 a.m. with the women’s 1-meter springboard and men’s 3-meter springboard events.
Saturday’s slate also begins at 9 a.m. with the women’s 3-meter springboard and men’s 1-meter springboard events.
LAST OUTING:
At the Trojan Diving Invitational, the Scarlet & Gray collected nine top-5 finishes. Additionally, sophomore Alex Vazquez broke his own program record in the 1-meter event, posting a prelims score of 355.40.
SEASON LEADERS:
Leading the Rebels on the women’s side is senior Vika Yanovska, while Vazquez leads the way for the men. Yanovska leads the Scarlet & Gray on the women’s 1-meter springboard (275.18) and 3-meter springboard (301.95). Vazquez has team-best scores in the men’s 1-meter (355.40) and in the 3-meter (392.40).
