LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A court order has requested 20 Nevada State Prison inmates to receive tuberculosis testing.

According to court documents, these High Desert State Prison inmates have refused their annual tuberculosis tests since October, 22, 2024.

Officials have filed the immediate petition to ensure Nevada Department of Corrections is in compliance with medical laws and regulations.

The petition would allow NDOC to involuntarily administer blood extractions on the inmates listed in the court order. Among the names listed include Deobra Redden.

Redden, also known as the man who attacked a Clark County Judge.

These inmates have remained in isolation.

Court documents explain the legal authority correction facilities have, “Responsible for the supervision, custody, treatment, care, security and discipline of all offenders take proper measures to protect the health and safety of the staff and offenders in it’s institutions and facilities,”

Redden will be sentenced on Dec. 10.
