LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An Alaska cat named Luna was reunited with its owner in Las Vegas after going missing four years ago.
Isis Jackson says the then kitten went missing from her garage while she living in Anchorage, Alaska.
“I never expected to see her again, especially out in Alaska, the weather is sometimes is in the negatives, I wasn’t expecting her to make it that first year,” Jackson said.
Last week she was contacted by the Alaska Forgotten Felines saying Luna had been found by a couple living just a few blocks from her old home. They were able to scan her microchip.
“I am happy I got her microchipped and all I can say to the public, if you love your pet get them micro chipped, because you never know what may happen,” she said.
A volunteer with Clear Creek Rescue stepped up to accompany Luna on her journey from Anchorage to Las Vegas, according to KTUU.
“It is like a Christmas miracle, just to find her and she is alive, and have her with me, it is nice,” she added.
Luna will be joining a previous cat Jackson owned and a newly-adopted kitten.
