ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – About 200 people were evacuated from a Delta plane at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after an aborted takeoff on Friday, according to the airline.
At around 9:10 a.m., the passengers used emergency slides to deplane flight 2668, which was headed to Minneapolis-St. Paul. They were then taken from the tarmac to the terminal, Delta said.

Four passengers reported minor injuries, according to the airport. One was taken to the hospital, while the others were treated at the scene.
Delta said the Boeing 757-300 had an engine problem. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.
“Nothing is more important than the safety of our people and customers, and we apologize to our customers for their experience,” the airline said in a statement. “Our focus is to address their immediate needs and get them to their destinations safely.”
A passenger told Atlanta News First that the engine was on fire and the plane was skidding on the runway as it attempted to take off.
The incident comes as Atlanta is blanketed by inches of snow. A winter storm warning is in effect for metro Atlanta and almost all of north Georgia until 7 a.m. on Saturday.

It is unclear if the engine problem was linked to the copious amounts of snowfall.
Hundreds of flight cancellations and delays are being reported at Hartsfield-Jackson. As of 10 a.m., there were 786 cancellations and 421 delays at ATL. Most of them are with Delta, Southwest and Frontier.
The airport is also under a ground stop until at least 2 p.m.
