LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist fighting for their life Tuesday night.

According to LVMPD, an unidentified SUV struck a bicyclist riding near a marked crosswalk on Charleston and Hinson Street, near Valley View around 7:33 p.m. The SUV then fled the area.

Police believe the SUV may be a silver or gold mid-2000s Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon.

Arriving medical crews found the bicyclist and transported the 58-year-old man to UMC Trauma by ambulance, where his injuries were determined to be life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
