LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Sphere’s emoji character has finally revealed its name!
In an announcement Thursday morning, the emoji character known for its adorable reactions and animations introduced itself as Orbi. The reveal came alongside a new e-commerce store with merchandise revolving around the mascot, dubbed the “Orbi Collection.”
“Orbi has become a global phenomenon and cultural touchstone, captivating audiences in Las Vegas and on social media with its many expressions,” said Chandra Allison, Executive Vice President of Sales and Service, at Sphere, who oversees merchandise. “The e-commerce site is a way for fans around the world to connect with Orbi and Sphere via official branded merchandise, further extending the reach and visibility of Sphere’s brand.”
In celebration of the launch, Orbi will take over the Sphere’s Instagram account throughout the day. Fans are encouraged to submit their questions as part of a Q&A beginning at noon.
