LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Henderson Police Department has closed the 1981 cold case of Vicki Radig.
She was 20 years old when she was reported missing after going out with her boyfriend, Walter Bradley Demint.
Demint told family members they had gotten into an argument, and she ran off.
Two days later, her body was discovered in a desert area off Boulder Highway.
Detectives ruled her death a homicide.
At that point, Demint was considered a person of interest. But, investigators did not have enough evidence to press charges. He died in 2007.
Through the help of DNA samples, detectives determined Demint as the only suspect in the case.
Radig’s family has been notified about the update.
