LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas officer is recovering after their patrol vehicle was hit by a red light runner Tuesday morning.
Metro police tell FOX5 the crash happened in the east valley at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Marion Drive around 4:30 a.m.
Both the Metro officer and the other driver were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Traffic officers are investigating the crash. Metro said westbound Stewart and both north and southbound Marion north of Stewart are closed.
No other details were released.
