LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – One of the three suspects involved in a murder on July 5 in Pahrump was hiding in Las Vegas, according to sources.

FOX5 sources say 18-year-old Carlos Blakley turned himself in at Metro HQ Monday after hiding in Las Vegas, where his mother lives.

Sources say Blakely’s mother was in contact with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, who advised where Blakely should go to turn himself in.

Two other suspects, Fabian Ferrante and Anthony Aguilar, are still on the run, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s office on Monday.

Nye County is working with the U.S. Marshalls to locate the two.

According to law enforcement officials, at around 10 p.m. on July 5, the suspects fired shots into a crowd during the “Movies in the Park” screening of The Wizard of Oz at Ian Deutch Memorial Park in Pahrump, killing one person. Officials reported that dozens of people, including small children, were present in the park.

Officials said a fight involving “50 juveniles” broke out before investigators believe the suspects fled in a red Chevy Camaro, which has since been located. A witness heard what she described as automatic gunfire before the Camaro sped off.

The victim, identified as Joe Perry, 22, of Pahrump, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was shot four times: once in his neck and three times to his back, officials said.

Blakely will be in Las Vegas Justice Court on Thursday.

Nye County is arranging for Blakely to be extradited to Pahrump later this week, sources say.
