LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — With construction started on the A’s new stadium, we’re getting a look at what else is planned for the more than 26-acre complex.
Developers have started the permitting process for the construction of Bally’s new resort. Plans make the completion of the nine-acre ballpark the top priority. The first phase of the project also calls for a parking garage, retail space, and plenty of room for bars and restaurants.
Phase two sees the construction of the primary hotel tower with 1,800 rooms and a pool deck.
A 3,000-seat concert venue arrives with phase three.
The president of the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority says he sees plenty of potential.
“The stadium becoming a catalyst for development on that intersection, I think its great. It looks like it’s working out,” Steve Hill said.
The fourth phase of the project calls for the construction of a second hotel tower with 1,200 rooms. The plans also include three different casinos, more than 153,000 square feet of retail, entertainment and dining, and more than 5,000 parking spaces.
Organizers hope to start construction in April.
