LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials released a clarification on a crash that killed Haylee Ryan, 12, who was riding a bicycle when she was struck by a school bus.

The release said that evidence around a collision often leads to an at-fault driver being cited or arrested. The statement noted that no such arrest was made in the case of the Oct. 6 crash.

The LVMPD statement in its entirety reads:

The crash happened on Oct. 6 just before 3:30 p.m. at Bradley Road and West Tropical Parkway. On Oct. 13, police documents stated that a school bus driver was found at fault in the collision, but no enforcement actions were taken due to the ongoing investigation.
