LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police are responding to a “suspicious package” in west Las Vegas Wednesday night.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said police are responding to the area of Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road just after 9 p.m. Police said officers with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) called in what appeared to be a suspicious package near a bus stop.

Police say officers have located a small box near a bus stop on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Live traffic cameras show the intersection has reopened just after 10:45 p.m.
