NORTH LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — North Las Vegas police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting and crash last week.
Deshawn Pitts was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, and booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon, according to NLVPD.

Pitts is accused in the shooting of a man whose vehicle then struck the wall of an apartment complex on the 100 block of East Rome Boulevard.
At 1:36 p.m. on Feb. 18, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East Rome Boulevard after a vehicle struck the wall of an apartment complex following a shooting.
Officers located the vehicle and found an unresponsive adult male inside suffering from gunshot wounds, who later died at the scene.
Pitts is being held without bail, and is due before a judge on March 30.
