LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 64-year-old motorcyclist has critical injuries after an east Las Vegas crash Wednesday night, police said.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just before 2 p.m. at East Viking Road and South Pacific Street, near Eastern Avenue and Flamingo Road. Police said it involved the motorcyclist and the driver of a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox.
Police said the motorcyclist rode west on East Viking when the other driver turned northbound and entered his path. Police said the motorcyclist hit the passenger side of the Chevrolet and he fell off his bike.
Police said the rider was taken to Sunrise Hospital and his injuries were deemed life-threatening. The other driver claimed “minor” injuries, stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
Police said the crash remains under investigation.
