LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An employee with the Clark County School District was arrested Wednesday on child abuse and battery charges, according to district police.
The Clark County School District Police Department took 44-year-old Julia Martinez-Ebner into custody on Sept. 23. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of child abuse or neglect and one count of battery.
Authorities said the arrest followed an investigation launched earlier this month at Robert L. Taylor Elementary School.
Martinez-Ebner has worked for the school district since July 2020, serving most recently as a literacy and language intervention specialist at Robert L. Taylor Elementary. In accordance with the district’s negotiated union agreement, she will be placed on unpaid administrative leave.
