LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A bench warrant has been issued for the woman accused of abandoning a dog at Harry Reid International Airport in February, a case that later went viral on social media.

Court records show a warrant was issued for Germiran D. Bryson after she failed to appear for her arraignment in Las Vegas Justice Court on Tuesday morning. A judge ordered the bench warrant with $5,000 cash or surety bail.

Bryson faces multiple misdemeanor charges tied to the Feb. 3 incident.

Police say she left a dog at a ticket counter after being denied a boarding pass because she did not have the required paperwork to fly with the animal as a service dog.

Officers later located Bryson, police said, and she became hostile and resisted arrest.

The dog, described as a 2-year-old goldendoodle mix and later named Jetblue, was taken to Animal Control and later placed with Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas.

In the end, the dog was adopted by one of the responding officers.

Bryson’s charges include torturing/injuring/abandoning/starving an animal, making a false statement to or obstructing a public officer, and resisting a public officer.
