LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Nevada judge has extended a ban on financial exchange platform Kalshi from operating in the state.

The platform was blocked from offering sports wagering contracts in Nevada. A previous ruling found the platform is subject to Nevada’s gambling rules.

Last month, a judge granted a temporary restraining order on Kalshi as the legal battle continued. The judge extended that restraining order another two weeks and issued a preliminary injunction.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board says all gaming companies doing business in the state must be licensed in the state.

Kalshi has previously said it plans to appeal rulings against it.
