LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas will honor Bruno Mars with a parade down the Las Vegas Strip ahead of the kickoff of his highly anticipated tour at Allegiant Stadium.

The procession will take place on Friday, April 10 starting at 1 p.m. on the north side of Bellagio on Las Vegas Boulevard, traveling past the Fountains of Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan, ARIA and Park MGM before arriving at Toshiba Plaza in front of T-Mobile Arena around 1:30 p.m. The arrival will include on-stage activities and a street-renaming ceremony.

Las Vegas will honor Bruno Mars on Friday, with a Strip parade and Park Avenue renaming to Bruno Mars Drive.

As part of the celebration, Park Avenue will be renamed Bruno Mars Drive, placing the 16-time GRAMMY-winning artist among a short list of performers recognized along the notable Las Vegas Blvd.

The event highlights Mars’ long ties to Las Vegas, including his residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, and serves as a kickoff for his upcoming world tour, officials say.

  • Road closures: Expect closures to vehicular traffic from about 12:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. for:
    • Southbound Las Vegas Boulevard between Flamingo Road and Park Avenue (Bruno Mars Drive)
    • Park Avenue (Bruno Mars Drive) and the New York-New York connector adjacent to Toshiba Plaza
  • Parade viewing: Fans are encouraged to watch from sidewalks in front of Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan and Park MGM.
  • Toshiba Plaza: Opens to fans at 11 a.m. Space is limited and the plaza will close when it reaches capacity.
  • Parking: Paid self-parking garages will be open across MGM Resorts properties along the route and throughout the Strip.
