LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas high school student launched a new nonprofit to fight fentanyl use among young people after his teenage cousin died from an accidental fentanyl poisoning.
Levi Schaner started Fent Prevent, which focuses on teen-to-teen education. The organization is hosting a free community resource fair from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bottega Exchange near Tenaya and Sunset.

Students, parents, and educators can get information on overdose risks and response, connect with local support services, and hear from a panel.
The panel features groups including PACT Coalition, St Jude’s Ranch for Children, and the Wellness Box Foundation.
Organizers said the goal is to educate, empower, and save lives.
