LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — One person is in custody after a stolen-car crashed into two vehicles near the Las Vegas Strip on Tuesday.
Officers were notified of the stolen vehicle just before 2 p.m. along West Flamingo Road and Via Del Nord Street, near Las Vegas Blvd.
According to police, officers attempted to stop the vehicle before it fled south at a high rate of speed. It would then cause a crash with two other vehicles near Las Vegas Boulevard and Reno Avenue.
Following the crash, the driver fled the scene but was later taken into custody following a short foot pursuit, police say. Authorities add that the driver was also transported to the hospital as a precaution.
No other injuries were reported.
