LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Clark County School District has approved the closure of an elementary school with only one current student enrolled.
CCSD’s Board of Trustees says it will repurpose the school for community use. Any students assigned to Goodprings Elementary will be reassigned to Sandy Valley Elementary School. This will begin in the 2026-27 school year.
The district says Goodsprings ES only has one student enrolled for next year. Middle and high school students from Goodsprings already attend classes in Sandy Valley.

A town hall event celebrating the school is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on campus. The last day of school in the building is scheduled for Thursday, May 21.
CCSD says the one licensed teacher and support professional at Goodsprings have already accepted new positions within the district.
