LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Clark County School District teacher assistant faces battery and child abuse charges, CCSD police say.
The CCSD Police Department arrested Lisa Harris, 65, Monday. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Police say the arrest stems from an investigation at Dr. Claude G. Perkins Elementary School. Harris was employed by the district in October 2000 and served as a specialized programs teacher assistant.
Police say she’s been placed on unpaid leave per the terms of the negotiated agreement.
