LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Community Ambulance broke ground on a new headquarters in Henderson as demand for emergency medical services continues to grow across Southern Nevada.

The company started in 2010 with three ambulances. Community Ambulance now employs more than 700 people and runs a fleet of more than 90 ambulances around the valley.

The new West Henderson facility will sit on more than six acres south of the Henderson Executive Airport. The 42,000-square-foot, two-story building will include classrooms for training, executive offices, a large apparatus bay for ambulances and on-site maintenance. The facility will have parking for more than 250 vehicles.

Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero said Community Ambulance has been a partner in the city’s public safety efforts.

“They’ve met their benchmarks. They are always on time, and they help our firefighters be able to reach those most in need as quickly as possible as the backup and to do transports from hospital to hospital,” Romero said.

Construction is expected to wrap up in the second quarter of 2027.
