Mall officials said the Parental Guidance Required (PGR) program is being put in place out of “an abundance of caution” following recent social media activity indicating the potential for disruptive, unsupervised gatherings.
Under the program, trained public safety officers will be stationed at all entrances to verify identification for guests who appear to be 17 or younger.
The mall said the measure is intended to help maintain a safe, peaceful environment for shoppers and employees and is not meant to be a regular or full-time policy.
