LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police are releasing more information after officials responded to reports of a lost hiker and a possible domestic dispute on Mount Charleston last month.
Rescue crews, along with officers, responded to a call about the incident just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, around 7:26 p.m. at the Cathedral Rock Trailhead.
According to a police incident report, a man told officers he was on a first date with a woman and that she and her young daughter were still on the trail and needed help getting down.
He said the woman injured her knee and became angry after he called for help.

He reported she yelled at him and threw softball-sized rocks, some of which rolled downhill and hit his shins, though he showed no visible injuries and declined medical care. He provided a voluntary statement.
AMR paramedics located the child walking down the trail alone and without shoes. Paramedics said the child showed signs of hypothermia and transported her to UMC Pediatrics for evaluation.
Mount Charleston Fire and Rescue, along with LVMPD Search and Rescue, later found the woman off the trail and rescued her.
Officers noted she appeared to be under the influence and was unable to speak with them. She was transported to UMC as well.
Police took a report for suspected domestic battery based on the man’s statement. Child Protective Services was notified, and SafeNest was contacted and advised officers to call back the next morning.
