LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The man accused of shooting and killing his coworker in a city building has been indicted by a Clark County grand jury on murder and burglary charges.

26-year-old Brysen Kim is facing murder and burglary charges related to the death of Joey McLean, his coworker within the City of Las Vegas’ maintenance department.

The burglary charge, according to the document, is related to Kim’s entry into a city building with a firearm, with intent to commit a battery.

Police said Kim himself called 911 after the shooting.

In a 911 call played in court from moments after the shooting, Kim said, “I’m scared, please! I’m scared, please! He’s been harassing me for 6 months!… They had 6 months to fix this… 6 months!”

Investigators said a supervisor reported hearing the two men arguing before seeing Kim punch McLean and continue kicking him in the head as others tried to pull him away. Police said Kim then broke free, pulled out a gun and shot McLean in the head.

Kim is due back in court on Monday, June 29 for a preliminary hearing, but that hearing may be rescheduled following the indictment.
