LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Animal Foundation is gearing up to help shelter pets find loving homes at their weekend adoption event.
The shelter will be offering free adoptions for all pets during their No Place Like Home adoption event, taking place on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28.
Fees are being waived for pets, including puppies and kittens, thanks to the support of MetLife Pet Insurance, shelter officials say.

Because the event is expected to drawn in big crowds, hopeful adopted are urged to browse available pets online. Attendees can also join the virtual waitlist by scanning the QR code located on the adoption lobby door. The QR code opens at 8 a.m. each day.
Walk-in adoptions will then be available on a first-come first-served basis from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Know before you go:
- A $10 license fee may apply
- Fee-waived adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines
- No holds are placed on any pet
- Current pets should not be brought to the shelter
- In-shelter dog-to-dog introductions are not permitted
