LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Allison Howlett, accused of making threats related to an act of terrorism, appeared in court by video Wednesday, where a judge confirmed bail set at $500,000.
Howlett, 36, is being held in custody. The Judge said Howlett will be under high-level electronic monitoring, along with orders for no weapons and no contact with any named victims.
The case stems from a June 27 domestic dispute call in the Las Vegas Valley. Police have said a caller reported a vehicle had been stolen and that multiple firearms were inside. The caller also reported concerns about “suicide by cop” and a possible mass shooting, authorities said.
Using vehicle tracking information and with help from Sunset Station Casino security, police located the vehicle in the casino’s parking garage, authorities said.
Officers said Howlett initially refused commands to exit the vehicle, but was taken into custody after officers used a distraction. During the struggle, Howlett was tased once.

Authorities said officers recovered 22 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from the vehicle, including a loaded automatic gun in the passenger seat.
Police said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department counterterrorism detectives and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force joined the investigation after learning more about the reported threats and the number of weapons involved.
A search of Howlett’s residence later recovered about 30 more firearms, suppressors and thousands of rounds of ammunition, police said.
Howlett faces multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon in a domestic violence case, making a threat related to an act of terrorism, grand larceny of a vehicle and a firearm, resisting a public officer with a firearm and weapons-related counts involving short-barreled rifles, machine guns and silencers, authorities said.
Howlett is due back in court July 15 for a preliminary hearing, court officials said.
