LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower will host its annual “Party in the Sky” Independence Day celebration Saturday, July 4, beginning at 5 p.m.
The event will take place on the hotel’s 1,149-foot-tall indoor and outdoor observation deck and include panoramic views of fireworks displays across the Las Vegas Valley.

The family-friendly celebration will feature music by DJ Jerry, face painting, patriotic party favors and the second annual hot dog eating contest.
The kids’ hot dog eating contest is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the adults’ contest at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks viewing begins at 9 p.m.
