LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A garage fire at a west Las Vegas home was brought under control Friday night after multiple fire agencies responded to the scene, according to officials.
The Combined Communications Center received multiple reports of a house fire at 5085 W. Desert Inn Road at approximately 9:38 p.m. on July 10. A medium-level response was dispatched, including five engines, one truck, two rescues, one battalion chief, and one air resource unit from the Clark County Fire Department and the City of Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.

Fire contained to garage
The first arriving engine company reported fire coming from the garage area and initiated an offensive attack using handlines. Crews brought the fire under control at approximately 9:47 p.m. and confirmed it was contained to the garage with no extension into the residence.
A primary search of the home was completed, and no occupants were found. No injuries to civilians or first responders were reported.
Investigation underway
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. A damage estimate is not yet available.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the affected family. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Southwest Gas, and NV Energy also assisted at the scene.
