LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police are investigating after a shooting suspect reportedly was killed after crashing his vehicle into a wall.
According to a police report, NLVPD officers responded to the parking lot of a business on the 400 block of W. Carey Avenue after reports of a shooting at approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Prior to officers arriving, a male involved in the incident left the scene in a vehicle.
That man, believed to be in his early 20s, later crashed his vehicle into a wall in the area of Carey Avenue and Commerce Street, police said. A short time later, arriving officers made contact with that driver, who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel responded to the scene where the man was pronounced dead. The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. This is an ongoing investigation that detectives believe was an isolated incident.
