LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An elementary school teacher in Clark County was arrested on Aug. 21 on a charge of battery on a protected person, according to school district police.
Marianna Wynn, 63, was arrested following an investigation initiated at Ruben P. Diaz Elementary School.
She was subsequently booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
Wynn has been employed by the Clark County School District (CCSD) since July 2024 and was most recently assigned as a teacher at Diaz Elementary.

In accordance with the district’s negotiated agreement with the bargaining unit, Wynn will be placed on paid leave pending the outcome of the case.
Further details regarding the investigation or the nature of the battery charge have not been released at this time.
