LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police are looking for a suspect in a strong-arm robbery that happened in an east valley business last month.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the man was seen on surveillance video entering a business near the 7000 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, near Carey Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, around 2:32 p.m. on July 12. The suspect was seen pushing a personal shopping cart and filling it with “hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise,” police said.

When he attempted to leave without paying and was confronted by Loss Prevention, police say the suspect swung a bag of bananas and hit the security guard in the face before fleeing the store.
Police describe the suspect as a Black male in his 40s to 50s with a medium build, wearing a black baseball-style hat, blue button-up shirt, black shorts, and white socks with black sandals. He was also seen pushing a gray personal shopping cart.
His vehicle was also described as a black Jeep, possibly a Renegade.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
