LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have released the arrest report for a man accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend and her two young children earlier this week.
Juan Carlos Orona, 28, faces three counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and 10 counts of discharging a firearm within an occupied structure.
The victims have been identified as Orona’s girlfriend of three to six months, her 16-year-old daughter, and her son.
According to the arrest report, Orona called 9-1-1 at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday to turn himself in.
He made the call from the parking lot of Metro’s Southeast Area Command on East Harmon Avenue, where his father and brother had driven him.

Orona’s father told detectives his son contacted him earlier that evening, admitting he had “hurt” his girlfriend and her children after confronting her about an alleged infidelity.
The father insisted Orona turn himself in to police, according to the arrest report.
In an interview with detectives, Orona admitted to confronting his girlfriend about cheating on him with an ex-boyfriend. He told police she confirmed the infidelity.
Orona did not deny shooting the three victims, but claimed he “blacked out” and could not remember the details of what happened.
Officers dispatched to the family’s apartment on O’Bannon Drive forced entry and discovered the three deceased victims.
During a search of Orona’s pickup truck, investigators recovered a handgun inside a backpack.
Orona was booked into the Clark County Detention Center after receiving treatment at Sunrise Hospital for a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He is currently being held without bail.
