LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas man pleaded guilty in federal court to coercion and enticement of a minor, prosecutors announced.
Cameron Miles Scruggs admitted to engaging in sexually explicit conversations online with a child he knew was under 18 between June 16, 2025, and June 25, 2025, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Nevada.
Court documents state Scruggs coerced the victim to engage in sexual activity, had sexual intercourse with the victim, and transported the minor across state lines for sexual activity.

“Our office remains unyielding in its commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community from digital predators,” First Assistant U.S. Attorney Sigal Chattah said in a statement. “Through the collaborative efforts of local and federal law enforcement, we will continue to aggressively pursue and prosecute individuals who leverage technology to exploit and harm children.”
The FBI Las Vegas Field Office and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigated the case as part of the Crimes Against Children Task Force and Project Safe Childhood.
“Even though the defendant tried to conceal his crimes online, the relentless dedication and skill of our Crimes Against Children Task Force uncovered the truth and brought him to justice,” said Christopher S. Delzotto, special agent in charge of the FBI Las Vegas Field Office.
Scruggs pleaded guilty to one count of coercion and enticement. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and up to life imprisonment.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2027.
