LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Damaged and cut fences near drainage tunnels at Harmon and McLeod are giving people access to areas where they should not go.
While working on one story about drainage tunnels, where many homeless live, we found another potential danger. We saw cut or damaged fencing around drainage areas, and tunnels. We saw at least four damaged fences around Topaz and Tompkins, allowing for easy access into the drainage spots.

Schools located nearby
There is a lot of housing in the area, along with some schools. CW Woodbury Middle School is not far from Harmon and McLeod, and Lewis E. Rose Elementary is even closer to where the fence holes are located.
After school got out Tuesday, we saw two kids riding their scooters right by a damaged fence.
FOX5 is reaching out to local governments and agencies about who is responsible for maintenance and repairs.
