LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – It could be months before Clark County School District appoints a new superintendent.
The CCSD Board of Trustees will meet May 1 to discuss the tentative timeline for the nationwide search.
There are several big dates the board will discuss:
- May 9 — Final day for search firm candidates to apply
- May 15 — Special board meeting to read responses, discuss interview questions for search firm candidates
- May 29 — Interview search firm finalists and select firm
Dates to do candidate interviews for the superintendent position, make a selection and extend an offer are still “to be determined.” A tentative start date for the new superintendent is slated for Nov. 1, 2024.
