LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A suspect has been taken into custody after a barricade Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas police say.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to a domestic disturbance that later turned into a barricade near the 500 block of Poplar Leaf Street at Alta Drive and Pavilion Center.

Police responded to the residence following reports of suspected domestic violence.
Officials said one person refused to exit the residence, and the incident was being treated as a barricade. Just before 3:30 p.m., police said the suspect is in custody.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
