LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Athletics selected 16 players Sunday on the final day of the 2026 First-Year MLB Draft, the club announced. The A’s finished the draft with 21 total selections, including 19 college players and two high schoolers. The class features 11 pitchers, four infielders, three outfielders and three catchers.

Hernandez, a teammate of A’s first-round pick Drew Burress at Georgia Tech, hit .343 with a 1.033 OPS, 13 home runs and 41 walks in 55 games for the Yellow Jackets in 2026. As a freshman in 2025, he broke Matt Wieters’ school record for RBI with 69 and was named ACC Freshman of the Year.
Sosa transferred to Miami from NC State and posted the best season of his collegiate career in 2026, hitting .338 with a 1.119 OPS, 18 home runs and 41 walks in 59 games. For his career, he hit .298 with a .974 OPS and 36 home runs in 146 games.
Rossow was named Coastal Athletic Association Pitcher of the Year and earned Third Team All-American honors in 2026 after going 10-2 with a 2.53 ERA, 104 strikeouts and 22 walks in 81.2 innings across 16 appearances for Campbell.
Williams was a teammate of A’s first baseman Nick Kurtz at Wake Forest in 2024. He hit .343 with a 1.003 OPS, 10 home runs and 42 walks in 60 games for the Demon Deacons in 2026. For his career, he hit .294 with a .856 OPS in 163 games.
Gorostola earned All-Atlantic Sun Conference First Team honors in 2026, hitting .370 with a 1.060 OPS, 13 home runs and just 21 strikeouts in 255 plate appearances across 54 games for Florida Gulf Coast.
Marnell is a native of Las Vegas who attended Bishop Gorman High School. He began his collegiate career in 2025 at the College of Southern Nevada before transferring to San Diego State prior to the 2026 season.
Escalante, a native of Aptos, Calif., is committed to Cal State Fullerton and recently underwent Tommy John surgery. He also played wide receiver for the football team at Soquel High School.
