LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Cirque du Soleil announced Saturday that Mad Apple, its production at New York-New York Hotel & Casino, will conclude its Las Vegas run on Sept. 5, 2026. Tickets for remaining performances are on sale on their website.
The show opened May 12, 2022, and welcomed more than 1.2 million guests during its run. Mad Apple combined acrobatics, live music, dance, magic and stand-up comedy — marking the first time stand-up comedy was featured in a Cirque du Soleil resident show. It was also the first production to emerge from a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil and The Works Entertainment Group.

CEO comments on show’s legacy
“Mad Apple introduced stand-up comedy to a Cirque du Soleil resident show for the first time, and its blend of acrobatics and humor was the right combination to lead us out of the pandemic,” Cirque du Soleil CEO Mark Cornell said. “We thank the cast, crew, and creative team and every guest who joined us at New York-New York, and we remain focused on the next chapter of our Las Vegas portfolio.”
Four resident shows to continue on the Strip
Cirque du Soleil will continue operating four resident productions in Las Vegas: Mystère at Treasure Island, “O” at Bellagio, KÀ at MGM Grand and Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay. The company said it is developing its next generation of Las Vegas shows, with further announcements to follow.
Staff transition underway
Cirque du Soleil said it is working with the artists, technicians and staff of Mad Apple on transition support, including redeployment opportunities across the company’s global productions where possible.
Ticket holders for performances scheduled after Sept. 5 will be contacted by their point of purchase with refund or exchange information.
